On the business front, Jane and I secured two new wholesale accounts, one here in the Midwest (Sunset Foods), and a natural food chain in Oregon called Market of Choice. We also won a coveted sofi Award for our Sichuan Spice Blend, pitched four additional meal kit concepts to Peapod, supported Autism Awareness Month, and and were asked to do a cooking segment on WGN (Channel 9 in Chicago). Our eldest child, Phil, is a passionate adventurer.  He fell in love with Asia in his teens.  Two years ago, he ventured back to China to study and live there for eight months.  To visit Phil, and also wanting to better understand this part of the world, Steve and I had our own adventure traveling the countryside on a three-week tour of this beautiful part of the world. So Simple Greek Chicken & Giveaway

Fun and unexpected – a summary of last weekend’s camping at Devil’s Lake, WI. The IMG_20150718_170707750unexpected came in the form of Saturday night dinner of spear fished bass straight from the lake. We also hadn’t bargained for Timber Rattlesnake sightings either. I’ve just returned from Austin, Texas, where I spent a disproportionate amount of time eating with my good friend Julie. Austin is littered with al fresco fine dining and food truck spots.
